Children ski course
at Stuhleck

3 hours are ideal.

  • 2 hours are too short: waiting times, which can often occur in group courses, leave too little effective learning time.

  • 4 hours (even with a lunch break) are too long: higher risk of injury, especially on the last run.

  • 3 hours without a lunch break: Optimal for safety, learning success, and fun.

  • suitable for children of elementary school age and older (younger children are sometimes overwhelmed by 3 hours, especially in the beginner area).

Children's ski course schedule

1) Booking your ski course

Option 1: Direct booking by email

Send us a short request by email with the following key details:

  • Name + child's name

  • Phone number

  • Child's age

  • Desired course date

  • Number of course days

  • Do you need ski rental equipment?

  • Are you familiar with the area?

  • Any other questions or requests

  • Skiing ability (see classification below)

Classification of ski courses for children:

  • Beginner: “I have never skied before and would like to learn.”

  • Beginner+: “I have tried skiing, but still need to learn how to control my speed.”

  • Slightly advanced: “I can brake on easy slopes and make my first turns.”

  • Advanced: “I ski confidently and have already been on red slopes.”

  • Pro: “I can handle all slopes. I no longer need to snowplow.”

You will then receive a corresponding reply, including payment information or an invoice if necessary.

👉 We appreciate timely online transfers before the start of the course.

💡 Tip: Please note our cancellation policy.

On-site payments can also be made by debit card, credit card, or cash.

2) How to get to Stuhleck

by car:

Take Freeway S6 to the exit "Spital am Semmering"

Travel time from Vienna (Inzersdorf junction) to

Snow School Stuhleck

Hinterleiten 2,

8684 Spital am Semmering

approx. 57 minutes (Google Maps).

3) Ski rental at Stuhleck

We can recommend any rental shop for your ski equipment at Stuhleck, but here is a description of the process with our partner:

skioutlet.at

(Hotel Sonnenalm)

Kaltenbachstraße 14A

8684 Spital am Semmering

⏱️ Allow enough time to select and adjust your equipment – waiting times may occur, especially on weekends and at the beginning of holidays.

👉 On the first day of the course, we recommend organizing your equipment about 1 hour before the course starts.

If you are renting skis for several days, you can keep them overnight.

Then drive approx. 2 minutes to the P5 car park,

Hinterleiten 2,

8684 Spital am Semmering,

directly next to Snow School Stuhleck and the Minilift and Familienlift training lifts.

💡 Tip: Use the panorama map of Stuhleck ski area for better orientation.

4) Meeting point for children's ski lessons

👉 The meeting point is at the ticket office of the "Familienlift" (engl. "family lift") in the Stuhleck ski area. Our ski instructors will welcome you there.

The children will return to the meeting point at Familienlift with their ski instructor after 3 hours (approx. 12:30 p.m.).

5) Lift ticket

Lift ticket options:

  • For the mini lift only

  • For the family lift only

  • For the entire ski area (not valid for the mini lift)

Children on beginner or beginner+ level usually need a 10-point ticket for the mini lift. However, the course starts without lift rides, as the first hour in the practice area is spent learning basic techniques such as safe movement and braking. Only once the basic skills have been learned do we move on to the first practice lift, the “mini lift.”

Everyone who at least skis already a little bit will be divided into appropriate children's groups after a short test run – this will also determine the choice of the right lift ticket.

Your advantages at a glance
